The RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan today has received a delegation of prosecutors and judges from Austria, who are in Armenia on a familiarization visit. The delegation is headed by the Deputy Prosecutor General of Austria Alexander Bauer. The Deputies of the RA Prosecutor General Hayk Aslanyan and David Melkonyan have also taken part in the meeting from the Armenian side.

 

Welcoming the guests in the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, Artur Davtyan highly appreciated the bilateral and multilateral aspects of the current level of cooperation between Armenia and Austria, which has greatly contributed to the development of relations between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries.

 

During the meeting, the issues regarding the  prosecutorial supervision of pre-trial criminal proceedings, charge defense, procedures for joining the prosecutor's system, fighting corruption and cooperation in the field of mutual legal assistance and extradition of persons subject to criminal prosecution have been discussed.
