The materials prepared by the Department of the RA Police of Amasia in connection with the operative information received at the General Criminal Department of the RA Police from the RA NSS, revealed cases of embezzlement of state means in “Amasia Health Center” CJSC.

 

In particular, factual data were obtained that the Director of "Amasia Health Center" CJSC, having the authority to ensure the efficient and aimful use of budget means, appointed his mother as a logistics manager in the same medical center. The latter did not actually attend work until 2018 and did not fulfill her responsibilities, but the employment contract signed with her was not terminated. During the mentioned years the data of the director's mother were included as if she had  actually performed her job responsibilities and was paid for that. In the result, from 2010-2018 the mentioned person received a particularly large amount of 4.3 million AMD salary which was embezzled.

 

Besides, factual information was received that from 2010 to 2019, the data of 5 people who died as well as people who moved to another place of permanent residence were not removed from the lists of people registered and served at “Amasia HC” CJSC. Instead, by inserting obviously false information in the official documents, their data were continuously left in the lists of the registered and served population of “Amasia HC" CJSC, in the result of which more money was allocated from the state funds for the medical care of the mentioned people causing significant damage to the legal interests of the state.

 

A criminal case has been initiated in the Prosecutor's Office of Shirak Region of the Republic of Armenia according to the materials prepared in the scope of the above-mentioned cases under Article 179, Part 3, Point 1, Article 308, Part 1 and Article 314, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code, which was sent to Regional Investigation Department of Shirak of the RA Investigative Committee for further investigation.

 

All the officials involved in the criminal mechanisms will be founded out and an objective and comprehensive investigation will be carried out.
