The RA Prosecutor General visited the new administrative building foreseen for the Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the RA Prosecutor General's Office, was informed about the working conditions, as well as held a working consultation with Srbuhi Galyan, the RA Deputy Prosecutor General and the prosecutors and economists of the Department.

 
Issues on the process of large-scale investigations initiated in the process of confiscation of property of illegal origin, the organization of work, the existing problems and the solutions were discussed during the meeting.

 
In particular, they have discussed the issues regarding the assessment of the value of the property being studied, identification of the financial flows and mechanisms of individuals, application of modern technological solutions, improvement of the efficiency of the activities of the involved economists, as well as the proper implementation of the process of confiscation of property of illicit origin, getting information requested by other relevant bodies.

 
The RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan noted that the RA Prosecutor's Office, on behalf of the Department, has undertaken to return the property of the state with core nature with large value of property of illicit origin, to return the assets to its real rightful owner, i. e the state, thus favoring the restoration of social justice. Therefore, it is necessary to justify these expectations in accordance with the requirements of the law, respecting the property rights of the people.

 
Though the Department is work loaded, the RA Prosecutor General instructed the prosecutors of the Department to carry out their functions with greater consistency and activity to have confiscated property as soon as possible on the basis of sufficient evidence.
