The assurances to find out the voting made by the voter, the possible threats are groundless: it should not be subjected to psychological influence

June 19, 2021

The analysis of the data obtained through specific criminal case proves that some individuals made assurances that there are some sociological, statistical mechanisms, formulas to find out not only the voters’ participation but also the ballot and by using them they can find out who and how people voted in the upcoming early elections.

Taking into account that such manifestations may be widely spread during the early parliamentary elections of 20 June 2021, we consider it necessary to inform that the secrecy of the ballot is the constitutional right of the voter. Violation of that right in any way, forcing the voter to disclose, forcing the voter to reveal the ballot, is a criminal offense punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment.

It is necessary to know that the specific result of the polling by the voter, both during and after being in the polling station, cannot be determined by any technological, methodological means. All necessary measures will be taken in all polling stations to exclude such a technical possibility.

Thus, assurances are made in order to find out the result of the polling through such means by inspiring fear, moral and physiological pressure.

The civilians taking part in elections may be sure that secrecy of their vote is guaranteed and those who will try to violate anyway this secrecy will be criminally prosecuted.

The RA Prosecutor General’s Office calls not to believe the assurances of disclosing the results of the elections, not to be subjected to physiological influence and to perform the civic duty of the election, guided your own convictions.

We call all them who will be present at such actions during the campaign and during the polling day, immediately turn to the law enforcement bodies.
