M.N., occupying the position of the Rector of the “Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi” foundation, with the aid of M.S., the President of “Heratsi” trade organization, with negligence, by embezzlement and using his official position unlawfully took particularly large scale of property - in the amount of 39 million 660 thousand AMD, belonging to the Foundation entrusted to his management.

 

M.N. is charged under Article 179, Part 3, Point 1 of the Criminal Code, which was in force at the time of committing the crime (embezzlement of a property in particularly large amount).

 

A criminal prosecution against M.S. was also initiated in accordance with the Articles 38-179, Part 3, Point 1 (aiding and abetting of embezzlement of a property in particularly large amount).

 

Necessary measures are being taken to identify the full range of persons involved in the corruption and to initiate public criminal prosecution against them.
