The Prosecutor General on the case of Pemzashen

On November 9, 2022, at 12:28 o’clock a report was received at the Artik fire-rescue group about the residents of Pemzashen village of Shirak marz as they were not responding to door knocks and phone calls.

 

The operative group upon arrival found the bodies of Z. M., born in 1991 and her children, K. M., born in 2010 and S. M., born in 2014 with puncture wounds in the bedroom of N house in Pemzashen village.

 

On the same day, a criminal case was initiated in accordance with Article 155, Part 1 of the Criminal Code, Article 155, Part 2, Point 5 of the Criminal Code and Article 155, Part 2, Point 5 of the Criminal Code at the Investigative Division of Ani and Artik of the Investigative Department of Shirak Region. 

 

During the inspection of the scene, the body of a male child was found on the single bed in the bedroom with puncture wounds with tied arms and legs; the body of a female child was found on the floor of the same bedroom with puncture wounds on the backside of the chest and abdomen, and a body of a female with puncture wounds on the abdomen and chest, as well as the backside of the chest, arms tied in the backside.

 

A number of examinations were appointed, witnesses were investigated and decisions were made to recognize Z. M., K. M. and S. M. as victims.

 

Urgent investigative and other operational actions are being carried out, operative and investigative measures are being undertaken to find out the circumstances of the incident, the identity of the person/persons/ who committed the crime.

 

The General Prosecutor's Office will regularly inform the public about the course of the proceedings and urges the mass media not to spread such information or comments about the case that are not confirmed by the outcomes of the actions during the preliminary investigation and may cause panic and alarm.
