The Deputy Prosecutor General has discussed the perspectives of cooperation with the CoE partner

On November 29, the Deputy Prosecutor General Anahit Manasyan has received the Deputy Director of the Department of Cooperation Programs on Legal Reforms and Human Rights Affairs of the Council of Europe, Lilit Daneghyan, Project Manager - Gayane Hovhannisyan and National Project Coordinator - Tamara Barbakadze.
During the meeting, Anahit Manasyan gave importance to human rights and rule of law, as well as the activity of the European Council in strengthening democracy. The Deputy Prosecutor represented the reforms made at the Prosecutor’s Office aimed at strengthening public trust.
During the meeting, implementation of joint activities were given importance aimed at conducting initial and continuous training for the prosecutors. Special importance was given by the Deputy Prosecutor to the necessity of organizing trainings for the prosecutors of the regions.
The Deputy Prosecutor General emphasized the necessity of bringing the scientific-practical and educational journal "Legality" of the Prosecutor's Office in line with international standards and in that scope she underlined the importance of cooperation with the international partners.
The CoE representative Lilit Daneghyan expressed willingness to strength cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office.
The Deputy Prosecutor General and the Representatives of Council of Europe indicated directions of further cooperation and reached an agreement to develop collaboration.
