The Chief accountant of Jrar CJSC unlawfully took about AMD 255 000 000. Public criminal prosecution was initiated

In 2017-2022 A.S., being accountant at Jrar CJSC of MTAD, unlawfully took company’s financial means.

 

On 21 December 2022 the Prosecutor’s Office sent the results of investigation initiated by the RA State Supervision Service to the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts aimed at solving the matter of initiating criminal proceedings.

 

In the framework of initiated criminal proceedings the data was acquired, that the chief accountant of Jrar CJSC, A.S. unlawfully took AMD 254.066.540 belonging to Jrar CJSC. Particularly, as a result of examination of bank accounts it was found out that A.S., the chief accountant of Jrar CJSC, while exercising his official powers had opportunity to manage the bank accounts of Jrar CJSC.

 

He made transfers from the accounts belonging to the Company to his personal accounts from 2017-2022 as a repayment of tax obligations against the State budget, thus unlawfully taking about AMD 254 660 540.

 

The supervising prosecutor rendered a decision on initiating public criminal prosecution against A.S. under Point 3, Part 3 of Article 256 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (unlawful taking of entrusted property) on 26 January 2022.

 

Ban on absence and suspension of the right to hold certain offices were selected as a measure of restraint against A.S.
