On February 14, Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia paid a working visit to the prosecutor's offices of Shirak and Lori regions to summarize the results of 2022 activities.

 

The first stop of the Prosecutor General was at the Prosecutor's Office of Shirak region. Armen Chakhoyan, the Prosecutor of the region while introducing the results of 2022 activities touched upon the crimes committed in the region, the circumstances contributing to the commission of crimes and the activities carried out in the direction of their disclosure.

 

Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General gave instructions in connection with the directions and indicators presented in the report and set deadlines for their implementation.

 

Anna Vardapetyan's next stop was at the Prosecutor's Office of Lori region, where Armen Shahbazyan, the newly appointed Prosecutor of the region presented the report on 2022 activities. The Prosecutor general instructed to carry out necessary measures in cooperation with the partner institutions in the field of law enforcement for combating the criminal subculture in the region. Referring to the existing environmental crimes in Lori region, in particular, the illegal deforestations which cause significant damage to the State, the Prosecutor General instructed to present suggestions based on the examined proceedings (cases) aimed at preventing similar crimes and for combating illegal deforestations more effectively.

 

The importance of Patrol Service activities in Shirak and Lori regions was emphasized, aimed at detecting and preventing crimes.

 

Prosecutor General's last stop was at the Military Prosecutor's Office of Lori Garrison. Arman Apresyan, Military Prosecutor of Lori Garrison presented the summary report of 2022 activities. Reference was made to the examination and qualification of cases of drug usage by military servants in military units, in the course of performing military service duties. The Prosecutor General instructed the Military Prosecutor's Office to develop an effective format of interaction in order to identify and investigate the above-mentioned cases.
