In February 28, under the leadership of Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia the results of the works carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office of Yerevan city during 2022 were summarized. The state of crime recorded in the capital last year and the comparative analysis with 2021 were presented to the Prosecutor General.

 

According to Lilit Grigoryan, Prosecutor of the Yerevan city about half of the crimes registered in the Republic in recent years are committed in Yerevan. During 2022, 57.4 percent of the cases recorded in the Republic were committed in the capital.

 

Except for the crimes against property the number of all the other types of crimes increased.

 

Lilit Grigoryan, Prosecutor of the Yerevan city mentioned that according to the assignments of Anna Vardapetyan, RA Prosecutor General, the examination of the legal bases for the provision of land plots of common use in Yerevan, in particular, land plots burdened with objects of public significance operating in the areas of parks and gardens, has been started, aiming to detecting cases of illegal state registration of ownership rights.

 

Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General gave assignments related to all the presented issues and defined terms for their execution.
