The preliminary investigation with a criminal case examined in the Investigation Department of the National Security Service (Marked "Confidential") has been terminated.

 

The private participants of the proceeding have been notified in a written way.

 

A charge was brought against:

 

• S.O., the former Minister of Defense with 4 episodes under the Point 1, Part 3 of the Article 179 of the Criminal Code of the RA adopted on 18.04.2003, and 3 episodes under the Part 2 of the Article 308 (misapplication of huge amount property and abuse of official position, which brought to serious consequences by negligence),
• M.V., the former Head of the Cadastre Committee of the Government of the RA with 2 cases under Part 2 of the Article 308 of the Criminal Code of the RA adopted on 18.04.2003 (abuse of official position, which caused serious consequences by negligence),
• G.Kh., the former commander of the N military unit of the Ministry of Defense of the RA under Point 1 and Point 2, Part 3 of the Article 190 of the Criminal Code adopted on 18.04.2003 (huge amount money laundering by abuse of position),
• D.G., the Director of the company “Mosston Engineering” under Point 1, Part 3 of the Article 190 and Part 1 of the Article 325 of the Criminal Code of the RA adopted on 18.04.2003 (fraud in especially huge amounts and falsification of documents).
• 9 other persons have also been charged.

 

Notice:  Every person charged with a criminal offense shall be presumed innocent unless proved guilty in the manner prescribed by the RA Criminal Procedure Code and unless the verdict comes into legal force.
