On 13 June, 2023, Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia held a meeting in the Prosecutor’s Office of Kotayk region and introduced Sevak Poghosyan, the newly appointed Prosecutor of the region.

Aharon Sahakyan, Kotakyk region’s governor, heads of regional legal institutions, the prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office of Kotayk participated at the meeting.

The Prosecutor General congratulated Sevak Poghosyan on his appointment, highly appreciated his professional and human qualities and expressed hope that the joint activity with regional heads of law enforcement agencies will be smooth and effective.

Referring to the cooperation with the regional law enforcement structures, Anna Vardapetyan reaffirmed her approach that the joint work should be a partnership aimed at ensuring the effectiveness of the examination of criminal proceedings.

The newly appointed Prosecutor Sevak Poghosyan of the region expressed his gratitude to the Prosecutor General for her trust, as well as emphasized the necessity and importance of joint combating crime with law enforcement structures.

During the meeting, a number of issues were discussed. The Prosecutor General gave instructions to Prosecutor of Kotayk region and set deadlines for their implementation.
