The Prosecutor’s Office demands to confiscate 5 immovable properties and 150 million AMD from the former Head of Staff of the Court of Bankruptcy

On June 8, 2023, The Anti-Corruption Court accepted into proceedings another claim regarding to confiscation of illegal property.
The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the Prosecutor General’s Office filed a claim with the Court to confiscate from A.Gh., the former Head of Staff of the Court of Bankruptcy and his affiliated persons in favor of the Republic of Armenia thefollowing:
- 5 immovable properties in Yerevan, Kotayk and Gegharkunik regions, 1 movable property, market value of 1 immovable property, and in case of impossibility the average market value thereof – more than 118 million 805 thousand AMD.
- Unlawful part of the right for claiming the loans provided.
- Amount of 133 million 91 thousand 788 thousand AMD which is not substantiated with a person’s legal income, has an illegal origin, was transferred to a bona fide acquirer during 1996-2022 or cannot be identified and confiscated based on the legal regulations Article 20(4) of the RA Law "On Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin".
