On January 12, 2023, the Prosecutor initiated public criminal prosecution against A.Kh., known by the nickname "Tarzan" under Article 258(3)(3) and Article 325(1).

 

According to the preliminary investigation, it was found that in 2022 A.K. created a criminal group of persons with interpersonal hierarchical relations. The purpose of the group was committing crimes and sponsoring them, illegally solving disputes for their benefit.

 

In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings, it was substantiated that A.K. agreed to use his authority to resolve the money dispute between M.H. and A.H.

 

In particular, from October 17, 2022, A.K., accompanied by 5-6 unidentified persons of a criminal subculture group, had meetings with A.H., during which, using his criminal authority threatened to use violence against A.H. and his close relatives.  He demanded 314 thousand US dollars from A.H. in return for M.H.’s debt.

 

Then, he demanded to be given income from the profits of A.H.’s gas station. All that was accompanied by threats of violence against A.H.'s close relatives.

 

In the course of the preliminary investigation M.H. was charged under Article 325(1) for applying the criminal authority A.Kh., known with the nickname “Tarzan”.

 

On June 28, 2023, the supervising prosecutor confirmed the indictment and submitted to the Criminal Court of First Instance of Yerevan City along with the case files.
