By the decision of Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia of June 7, 2023 a disciplinary proceedings was initiated against two persons holding autonomous position in the Prosecutor’s offices of Armavir and Kotayk regions.

 

In the course of the disciplinary proceedings it was found out that the prosecutors demonstrated a conduct incompatible with the high reputation of the prosecutor that may disgrace the reputation, good fame, honour or dignity of the prosecutor.

 

The results of the disciplinary proceedings of July 10, 2023 were submitted to the ethics commission adjunct to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.

 

By the decision of July 12, 2023 the ethics commission confirmed the existence of the disciplinary penalties as well as the guilt of two prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s offices of Armavir and Kotayk regions and gave an affirmative conclusion on the motion of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia on the imposition of “dismissal from office” disciplinary penalty on two prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s offices of Kotayk and Armavir regions.

 

By the orders of the Prosecutor General of July 14, 2023 two prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s offices of Kotayk and Armavir regions were dismissed from their office.
