The prosecutor initiated public criminal prosecutions against the individuals engaged in the illegal drug circulation through smuggling

Under the criminal proceedings examined in the investigative committee and as a result of the cooperation agreement concluded between the defendant and the prosecutor in the scope of the proceedings it was found out that M.A., B.A., and A.H., managing the criminal organization created in 2020 for the purpose of carrying out illegal drug circulation through smuggling, engaged the following individuals into their organization—N.M., G.A., H.H., M.A., Z.H., V.M., S.D., H.G..
M.A., B.A. and A.H. established contacts with an individual in the Islamic Republic of Iran, engaged in the illegal drug circulation and smuggling. The latter transported especially large amounts of different types of drugs into the Republic of Armenia through smuggling and handed the drugs over to the representatives of the criminal organization, afterwards they divided them into pieces, packed and placed in the hiding places afterwards sold them both in person and by the application of information and telecommunication systems.
For the purpose of hiding the possible origin of financial means received from the sale of drugs, they used digital wallets, bank accounts, accounts of betting companies as well as payment terminals for anonymous, in cash deposits. Deposited financial means were managed by the individuals engaged in the criminal activity: AMD 2 billion 179 million 593 thousand were deposited into 193 digital wallets.
In the scope of the criminal proceedings the following types of drugs were found and seizured (20 kg 415g in total) — “Methamphetamine”, “Heroin”, “Cocaine”, “Opium”.
Public criminal prosecutions were initiated based on article 318 and part 1 of article 319, points 1 and 2 of part 3 of article 393, points 1 and 2 of part 3 of article 46-399, points 1 and 3 of part 3 of article 296 of the Criminal Code.
