• Based on the decision of Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia dated November 24, 2023 a disciplinary penalty was initiated against two persons holding autonomous positions in the Prosecutor’s Office of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun Administrative Districts of the city of Yerevan. In the scope of the proceedings it was confirmed that the prosecutors failed to properly perform their procedural obligations and failed to undertake proper and effective measures for collecting evidence, which confirmed or denied the guilt of the persons, who have committed the crime.

 

• Based on the decision of Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia dated November 29, 2023 a disciplinary penalty was initiated against the person holding an autonomous positions in the Department for Crimes against Public Health of the Prosecutor General’s Office. In the scope of the proceedings it was confirmed that the prosecutor violated the rules of conduct of the prosecutor as well as internal rules of labour discipline. Particularly, during the working hours the prosecutor failed to attend his workplace on a regular basis and without a valid reason.

 

On December 15, 2023, the results of the disciplinary proceedings were submitted to the Ethics Commission under the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.

 

By the decision of the Ethics commission dated December 19, 2023, both the existence of disciplinary violation and the guilt of the prosecutors were confirmed.

 

By the order of the Prosecutor General of December 20, 2023, a disciplinary penalty in the form of “severe reprimand” was applied against the persons holding autonomous position in the Prosecutor’s Office of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun Administrative Districts of the city of Yerevan and in the Department for Crimes against Public Health of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
