Damage of 214.8 billion AMD caused to the state and communities was revealed in the investigated and pending criminal cases, damage of about 25 billion AMD was restored

On the instruction of Artur Davtyan, the RA Prosecutor General, the Department for Combating Corruption Crimes of the RA Prosecutor General's Office summarized the half-year outcomes of the measures undertaken by the state to disclose and restore the damages caused to the state and communities.

 

Moreover, as of June 30, 2020, at the moment of initiating 1283 criminal cases pending in the law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Armenia, damage of 214.782.710.692 AMD with the preliminary calculation, out of which 204.685.1121.1146 AMD belonged to the state and 10.097.589.546 AMD damage caused to the communities was revealed.

 

In the result of expert or other investigative and judicial actions appointed during the preliminary investigation of criminal cases, 128.870.997.477 AMD has already been approved from the above-mentioned total damage, out of which 127.428.746.833 AMD was the damage caused to the state, 1․442.250.644 AMD - to the communities.

 

During the preliminary investigation, 24.906.055.052 AMD was recovered from the damage found during the same period, out of which 24.197.560.432 AMD was the damage caused to the state, 708.494.620 AMD to the communities.

 

In order to ensure the restoration of the caused damages and the possible confiscation in the course of the preliminary investigation of the mentioned criminal cases, total amount of 84․502․200 AMD and 5․838․598․990 AMD on the bank accounts was seized. Seizure was imposed on 85 movable property and 148 real estates, as well as on 22 plots of land, out of which currently the value is estimated 26.381.004.571 AMD and the value of the rest is being estimated.

 

As of 30 June, 2020, the number of alleged criminals during the preliminary investigation of the above-mentioned 1283 criminal cases was 873, out of them 529 people have already been charged or decision was made to involve them as defendants.
