On the 28th of April, 2023 the criminal proceedings (marked as "Confidential") against S.O., the former Minister of Defense of the RA and 12 other individuals were sent to the Court with a bill of indictment. 

 

In the framework of the proceedings investigated at the Main Directorate of Investigation of the National Security Service of the RA, S.O., the former Minister of Defense of the RA was charged on 4 counts under Article 179, part 3, point 1 of the Criminal Code of the RA, adopted on 18.04.2003 and on 3 counts under Article 308, part 2 (embezzlement of particularly large-scale property and abuse of official position, which has negligently caused grave consequences), M.V., Head of Cadastre Committee was charged on 2 counts under Article 308 part 2 (and abuse of official position, which has negligently caused grave consequences) of the Criminal Code of the RA, adopted on 18.04.2003, G.Kh, the former Commander of the N military unit of the Ministry of Defense of the RA was charged under Article 190, part 3, points 1 and 3 (money laundering on a large-scale and using official position) of the Criminal Code of the RA, adopted on 18.04.2003, D.G., Director of the company “Moston Engineering” was charged under Article 178, part 3, point 1 and Article 325, part 1 (fraud committed on a particularly large-scale and forgery) of the Criminal Code of the RA, adopted on 18.04.2003. 9 other individuals were also charged.
