On the 21st of July a lorry with firewood have been found in Maralik. The driver of the lorry presented documents justifying the right to obtain the firewood.

Materials have been prepared at Ani division of Shirak District Department of the RA Police. In the result of intelligence activities it was found out that the driver of the above mentioned lorry deals with firewood trade.

Taking into account the circumstance that the crime flagrantly contains signs of extremely large damage regarding illegal forest cuttings a criminal case has been initiated under Article 296 part 1 of the RA Criminal Code in the Prosecutor’s Office of Shirak Region.
