Тhe RA Military Prosecutor Vahe Harutyunyan within the framework of summing up the results of 2017 activities has visited all garrison prosecutor's offices of the military prosecutor's office.

 

In particular, military prosecutors of separate garrisons noted that the main difficulties in the preparation of materials on crimes registered in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and during the preliminary investigation of criminal cases have been associated with the identification, elucidation and receipt of evidence of the main and real causes of factual circumstances.

 

There were cases when committed crimes have been the result of mistakes and offenses committed by officials.

 

During the discussions held in the military prosecutor's offices of the garrisons, the military prosecutor of the RA also stressed the guarantees of the rights and freedoms of servicemen within  the criminal proceedings.

 

Based on the results of the discussions, Vahe Harutyunyan has made a number of other recommendations based on the peculiarities of these garrisons.
