The employee of the RA Investigative Committee has been charged with taking a bribe in particularly large amount and abusing his official authorities. Detention has been chosen as a measure of restraint against him.

Actual data have been received that a number of officials of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia under the incitement of Vahagn Abgaryan or members of his criminal cooperation abused their official authorities, helping people, who committed the alleged violations to avoid the criminal responsibility.
For receiving a particularly large bribe from V. Abgaryan and abuse of his official authorities 06.02.2018 the employee of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has been charged under p. 2 p. 4 Art. 311 and p.1 Art. 308 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. By the court decision the detention has been chosen as a measure of restraint against him.
It was entrusted with a full, objective, comprehensive preliminary investigation to find out the reasons for the inability to conduct a proper investigation of the murder case, the circle of all officials involved in the criminal schemes, to give a legal assessment of their actions.
The preliminary investigation continues.
