In the Department  of State Interests Protection of  General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia the state of protection of State interests during the operation of small HPP operating in the Republic of Armenia, their generation of electricity and the delivery of ENA has been investigated. According to the results of the research, the RA Prosecutor General has presented a report to the RA Prime Minister.

 

It has been revealed that the relevant officials of the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia have used their official position contrary to the interests of the service. As a result, serious damage has been caused to the legitimate interests of the State, resulting in serious consequences. Taking into account the fact that the registered violations have contained flagrant features of  crime, a criminal case has been  initiated in the Department  of State Interests Protection of  General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia  under p.  2 art.  308 of the RA  Criminal Code . The preliminary investigation has been entrusted to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

 

Note: Every person suspected in or charged with a criminal offense shall be presumed innocent unless proved guilty in the manner prescribed by the RA Criminal Procedure Code and unless the verdict comes into legal force.
