Chief of Staff of the CIS Observation Mission in the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia. Issues related to criminal-legal struggle against electoral violations have been discussed

On November 27, Yevgeny Sloboda, Chief of Staff of the CIS Observation Mission in Armenia, has visited the RA Prosecutor General’s Office to monitor the process of preparing and holding early elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

 

During the meeting, issues related to the prevention of possible criminal acts during the preparation and conduct of elections with the use of prosecutorial measures in such cases have been discussed.

 

Hayk Aslanyan stressed the importance of the activities of all observation missions in Armenia with an election observation mission, noting that the working group of the RA Prosecutor’s Office is ready to actively cooperate with the headquarters of the CIS observation mission. The head of the working group has assured that the law-enforcement bodies of the Republic of Armenia have sufficient resources both at the current stage of the election campaign and on December 9 to normalize the voting and counting procedures.

 

During the meeting, the parties agreed to cooperate during the observation mission to exchange the information on electoral violations.
