Officials have illegally allowed private construction in the territories of shared ownership and ensured the right for state registration of construction. Criminal case has been initiated

State Interests Protection Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia has reviewed the information provided on the basis of complaints from citizens by a former member of the Council of Elders of Yerevan regarding the construction of multi-unit building in Ajapnyak administrative district of Yerevan.

 

While reviewing the information, relevant documents have been requested and received from Yerevan Municipality, State Committee of Real Property Cadastre of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and Urban Development, Technical Standards and Fire Safety Inspectorate.

 

Taking into account the fact that, data have been obtained that contained signs of abuse of official powers by the employees of Yerevan Municipality and State Committee of Real Property Cadastre of the Government of the Republic of Armenia concerning this case a criminal case has been initiated by the senior prosecutor of the State Interests Protection Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia in accordance with Part 1 of Article 308 of the RA Criminal Code.

 

The preliminary investigation has been instructed to the RA IC.
