The RA Prosecutor General Arthur Davtyan has met the personnel of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Artsakh within the framework of his working visit to the Republic of Artsakh today.

 During the meeting, Artur Davtyan congratulated Mher Aghajanyan for taking the post of Prosecutor General of the Republic of Artsakh, as well as the newly appointed Deputies Prosecutors General, wishing them success in their difficult and responsible work. At the same time, he expressed confidence that the formation of the managerial personnel will give a new start to the Prosecutor's Office of Artsakh in carrying out its tasks.

The Prosecutor General of the RA welcomed the vision and ideas of the reforms in the prosecutorial system of the second Armenian Republic, which the new Prosecutor General of the Republic of Artsakh has and about what they had joint discussions. Arthur Davtyan noted that the RA Prosecutor's Office is always ready to contribute to the improvement of the capacities of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Artsakh as well as all the initiatives aimed at increasing its efficiency.

Especially he highly appreciated the organized and coordinated activity of the Prosecutor's Office of Artsakh during the organization and voting of the recent national elections in Artsakh, as well as in regard with the reports and statements on election, violations registered in the post-election process, the applications by the subjects involved in the electoral process, the examination of signals and proceedings of these signals which mainly resulted in free and transparent elections in Artsakh and the expressed the free will of the people of Artsakh. It was possible to achieve such an outcome not only through close cooperation with other law enforcement bodies of Artsakh, but also through joint measures undertaken in advance to exchange the experience of the RA Prosecutor General's Office, which is a good example to apply in other spheres and have success.

Issues related to the legislative fields related to the activities of the prosecutor's offices of the two countries, the necessity of harmonization of institutional reforms, insurance of unity, as well as the formed structures of experience exchange and the continuation of traditions were discussed during the meeting.

The RA Prosecutor General expressed confidence that all those contribute to the strengthening of law and order in two Armenian states, guarantee of legal security and legitimacy of criminal proceedings, improvement of the effectiveness of cooperation between law enforcement bodies in the joint fight against crime as well as the provision of free, creative and safe life of the Armenian people.
