A criminal case has been initiated on the fact of a hooligan incident that took place during the protest march. 3 people have the status of suspects

By the assignment of the RA Prosecutor's Office of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun Administrative Districts to prepare materials on the media reports of the incident that took place during the protest march in the same day which were sent to the Arabkir Division of Yerevan Department of the RA Police on December 14, 2020.

 

During the filing of the materials, it was found out that on December 14, at around 18:00, at the intersection of G. Gyulbenkyan-Hr. Kochar streets in Yerevan, a group of unknown people, violating public order, hit citizen D. GH. causing bodily injury. In addition, during the incident, an unknown person used violence against another unknown person.

 

On the same day, a criminal case was initiated at Arabkir Department of the RA Police under Article 258, Part 2 and Article 258, Part 3, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code, which was sent to the Investigative Department of Arabkir Administrative District

 

During the preliminary investigation, the identity of the other person who was the subject of violence was found out, 2 people were recognized as victims. Proper investigative and judicial actions confirmed the fact that a group of people had beaten and cursed the latters.

 

In the result, it was found out that during the mentioned incident, Kh. M., a resident of Ejmiatsin town used violence against one of the injured people and was interrogated in the status of a suspect under Article 258, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code.

 

It also turned out that the hooliganism combined with violence against the other victim was committed by Sh. T. and S. P., the residents of Artashat. The latters are suspected for committing criminal acts envisaged under Article 258, Part 3, Point 1 of the RA Criminal Code.

 

The three people were given a restraining order not to leave.

 

The preliminary investigation is underway.
