The RA General Prosecutor Artur Davtyan had a meeting with the RF General Prosecutor Igor Krasnov

During his official visit in the Russian Federation the RA General Prosecutor Artur Davtyan has met the RF General Prosecutor Igor Krasnov.

 

The General Prosecutors of the RA and RF both expressed their satisfaction for the high level cooperation between their institutions and expressed their preparedness to deepen strategic cooperation and relationship.

 

The General Prosecutors have discussed a wide frame of mutual cooperation, partnership in the field of extradition, as well as issues of mutual interest. During discussion Artur Davtyan noted that the possible exception of the illegal prosecution against the RA formal and acting officials in the territory of CIS unfoundedly initiated by the competent bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

 

They have also discussed the activity of the RF Prosecutor’s officers performing their official duties, the cooperation between RA and AR Prosecutor’s Offices in Artsakh in the scope of RF peacekeeping mission in the Republic of Artsakh. The RA Prosecutor General emphasized that though Artsakh Defense Army continues its functions to provide the security of Artsakh Armenians, the location of the Russian peacekeeping forces has greatly increased the security safeguards, has made bases for the enforcement of stability along the line of contact.

 

In the result of the meeting of Artur Davtyan and Igor Krasnov the cooperation program of 2021-2022 between the RA and RF Prosecutor’s Offices for further joint work of exchange of skills in a number of fields of prosecutorial supervision was signed.
