Prosecutors General of Armenia and Belarus met in Minsk

Today Minsk hosted a bilateral meeting of the RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Shved.

 

Firstly,  Artur Davtyan thanked for the warm welcome and congratulated his colleague on the 100th anniversary of the Belarusian prosecutor's office. He noted that the RA Prosecutor's Office will soon turn 104 years old, and such a respectable biography in the case of both countries speaks of the established systems of the Prosecutor's Office as a means of protection of the state, law and society.

 

The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia highly appreciated the level and results of cooperation between the Offices headed by them in the legal sphere, which continues to be promoted by the Cooperation Agreement signed in Minsk in 2005 between the Prosecutor General's Offices of Belarus and Armenia.

 

The Prosecutor General of Belarus thanked for the warm wishes. He expressed confidence that another meeting of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the capital of Belarus would strengthen cooperation between the participating states in the field of preventing and combating crime, exchanging experience, solving new problems; promotes joint efforts to more effectively counter the challenges that have emerged in the areas of human rights protection.

 

The parties noted the high efficiency of close cooperation between the prosecutor's offices in the field of mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, discussed the possibility of taking additional measures to develop the capacity of the prosecutor's offices of the two countries, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
