Studies were undertaken in 28 medical institutions of the region in the scope of filing lawsuit of state interests protection at the Prosecutor’s Office of Lori Region in order to find out the legality of the owning the funds allocated to the medical institutions by the state for mass screening.

 

In the result of the studies details having criminal character were discovered at “Urut medical institution” SNCO and “Vardablur medical ambulance” CNCO. It was found out that 63 beneficiaries of Urut medical institution 36 beneficiaries at “Vardablur medical ambulance” SNCO, 22 beneficiaries at “Jrashen medical ambulance” have not been examined, though funds were transferred to the mentioned centers by the state. Particularly, information was discovered on embezzlement of the state funds with abuse of official position, making fraud in the official documents by the officials.

 

Three criminal proceedings were initiated in accordance with Article 255, Part 2, Point 2 of the RA Criminal Code and Article 445, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code in Stepanavan and Spitak Investigative Departments of Lori Region Investigation Department.

 

According to the decision of the supervising prosecutor, the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings was assigned to the Anti-Corruption Committee. The investigation is ongoing.
