P.B. pretending to be an employee of the National Security Service, assured Kh.G., the relative of K.K., an allegedly captured soldier, that he could solve the issue of returning the Armenian citizens captured by the armed forces of Azerbaijan in the result of the attack on the sovereign territory of Armenia for the appropriate amount of money through his friend with the title of “General”.  

 

A criminal case has been initiated in the Regional Investigative Department of Shirak and sent to the Anti-Corruption Committee on the same day.

 

On the 11st of October, 2022, P.B. was arrested by the employees of the National Security Service in the result of a secret operational measure “imitation of giving a bribe”, immediately after receiving a part of the said amount - 1 million 200 thousand AMD.

 

A motion was submitted by the investigator to the supervising prosecutor to initiate a public criminal prosecution against B.P., which was granted.

 

A public criminal prosecution against P.B. was initiated under Article 44-46-436, Part 2, Point 2 and Article 44-440, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the RA. The bill of indictment was confirmed and sent to the Court by the decision of the supervising prosecutor.
