S. G. (S. S.), the wife of the former Head of Police, V. G. providing means and eliminating barriers, assisted the official, to V.G., who is in a marital relationship with him, who, using his official position, during 2000-2010 stole particularly large property entrusted to him.

 

In particular, S. G. held the position of the Head of Group analyzing the combating and deserters servicemen of the RA Military Police during 11 May 2000 to 24 July 2008, later from 24 July 2008 to 1 July 2010, Senior officer of the same division, and from July 1 2010 to November  24, 2011 - as a Senior officer at the Subdivision of Fight against Deserter servicemen of the RA Military Police.

 

V.G., having marital relationship with S.G. and knowing that more than eleven years, i.e. from 2000-2011 had not reported for service and had not fulfilled her official duties, had not undertaken any measure. As a result, during the above-mentioned period, S. G. was actually paid particularly large amount of money as a salary and bonuses - in total 17 million 275 thousand 721 AMD.

 

In another case S. G., being a Senior Referent of the Head of Police from 1 December 2011 to 11 May 2018, had not reported for service regularly and hadn’t fulfilled her official duties properly, without corresponding orders in many cases in different duration was absent from the Republic of Armenia. In this condition according to the order of 30 December 2011 and 30 December 2016 she was awarded the special ranks of "lieutenant colonel" and then "colonel" and 19 million 422 thousand 319 AMD was transferred her.

 

In his turn V. G., being well aware of the fact that from 1 December 2011 to 10 May 2018 she regularly had not reported for service and had not fulfilled her official duties, had not found out the reasons of disciplinary violations and had not undertaken preventive measures. 

 

Thus, S. G. in the group with V. G. having personal interest, abused her office, which resulted severe consequences.

 

On 3 December 2022, a decision was made to initiate public criminal prosecution against S. G. under Article 308, Part 2 and Article 38-179, Part 3, Point 1 of the RA Criminal Code acting at the time when those acts were committed. The decision was sent to the Anticorruption Committee.
