Srbuhi Galyan, the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Coordinating the Field of Functions aimed at Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin is in the USA from 5-12 December in order to take part in the “20th Conference against Corruption” organized by Transparency International.

 

On 5 December, Srbuhi Galyan met the representatives of the USA Federal Bureau of Investigation. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary H. E. Ms. Lilit Makunts also was present at the meeting.

 

The parties highly appreciated the existing cooperation and discussed the perspectives of continuous and effective partnership.

 

In particular, a number of issues related to the confiscation of criminal assets, increasing the effectiveness of the joint fight against money laundering, and mutual legal assistance in criminal proceedings were discussed at the meeting.

 

In the framework of the visit, Srbuhi Galyan also met with the employees of the USA Department of Justice, discussed issues related to the recovery of illegal flows from Armenia and increasing the efficiency of interaction.
