The 26th claim about the confiscation of property of illicit origin was accepted into proceedings

On January 24h, 2023 the Anticorruption court adopted the serial claim about the confiscation of property of illicit origin.
The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the Prosecutor General’s Office made a request to the court aimed at confiscating from H. A., the former Governor of Tavush region and people interconnected with him in favor of the Republic of Armenia.
- 11 immovable properties, 5 of which in Yerevan, 6 in Tavush region, but in case of impossibility, their average market value, 1.256.765 billion AMD, 3 movable properties, right of the participation in two legal entities.
- The purchase price of purchased stocks in the Czech company, that is 1.608.540 million AMD.
- 389.257.456 million AMD, which isn’t validated by the legal incomes of the person, has illicit origin and can’t be confiscated in accordance with the legal regulation of Article 20, Part 4 of the RA Law “On Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin” (where the illicit property has been transferred to a bona fide acquirer, or it is impossible to identify, separate or confiscate the illicit property, upon the court decision and in case there is a relevant request, an amount equal to the market value of the illicit property as of the time of filing a claim may be confiscated from the respondent).
