Anahit Manasyan, Deputy Prosecutor General, participated in the extended session of the steering committee and the closing conference of EU/CE projects—“Support to the judicial reform- enhancing the independence and professionalism of the judiciary in Armenia” and “Supporting the criminal justice reform and harmonizing the application of European standards in Armenia”.

 

The objective of the project was the enhancement of the independence of judiciary, effectiveness of legal procedures and access to justice as well as promotion of implementation of decisions of conciliation and arbitration courts according to the standards of the Council of Europe.

  

Manasyan, Deputy Prosecutor General, emphasized the support of the European Union and the Council of Europe in the process of improvement of the following sectors—justice system, human rights protection and public security. 

  

Anahit Manasyan thanked the international partners for the implemented and current projects and expressed hope that it will be possible to create an environment, where each citizen feel the positive effects of the reforms.
