On February 21th Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, admitted Sergey Kopirkin, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia.

 

Anna Vardapetyan greeted the Ambassador and reiterated agreements that had been gained during the meeting with Igor Krasnov, the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation at the end of the year on the combat against corruption, transnational crimes and money laundering.    

 

Ambassador Kopirkin thanked the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia for admission and expressed his willingness to support the development of the cooperation in the above-mentioned directions.

 

Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, among other issues, touched on the processes occurred in Armenia directed to the combat against corruption and stressed that justice should act against the people enrolled in corruption offences regardless of personalities. 

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed a range of issues relating to the mutual legal assistance.
