Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia received the delegation of the newly appointed Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the USA to the Republic of Armenia Kristina Kvien and discussed issues regarding increasing cooperation in the sphere of law enforcement.

 

The Prosecutor General congratulated the Ambassador for taking the mission and expressed confidence that in the course of her office, the cooperation between the Prosecutor’s Office and Embassy will enter a new stage of development. 

 

During the meeting, Ambassador Kvien thanked the RA Prosecutor General for the reception and expressed her willingness to deepen cooperation in a range of directions.

 

During the meeting, Anna Vardapetyan presented to the delegation the agenda of reforms of the Prosecutor's Office aimed at improving the system and bringing it in line with the modern requirements.

 

The Prosecutor General and the Ambassador discussed the cooperation in specific directions related to the fight against illegal enrichment, money laundering, corruption and cybercrimes, improvement of the institution of confiscation of property of illegal origin.
