V.H. leasing a premises in the shopping center was detained, in the scope of the initiated criminal proceedings related to the explosion in “Surmalu” shopping center on 14 August 2022. The Criminal Court of Appeal awarded the complaint on special revision submitted by the supervising prosecutor under the criminal proceedings on 23 February 2023. 

 

Let us remind that a criminal proceedings was initiated under Part 2 of Article 357 and Part 2 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia regarding the explosion in “Surmalu” shopping center on 14 August 2022 at 13:30.

 

V.H was arrested on 26 August 2022. A motion was submitted on the same day on choosing detention as a measure of restraint against V.H, which was granted by the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan. However examining the investigator’s motion on extending the term of detention, which was chosen as a measure of restraint the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan decided to reject that motion on 21 January 2023.
