On June 2, RA Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan presented new edition of the Scientific-Practical Magazine "Legality" to the participants of the conference held on the occasion of the 105th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Prosecutor's Office and the Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office.

 

The Prosecutor General reminded that months ago, with the efforts of Anahit Manasyan, the former Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, currently – the Human Rights Defender, the works on reforming the Scientific-Practical Magazine "Legality", published since 1997, were started, within the framework thereof the geography of the Editorial Board had been expanded (specialists with publications in world-known magazines were included in the Board as part of the Magazine’s internationalization process).

 

Anahit Manasyan, the Human Rights Defender, Candidate of Sciences in Law, Associate Professor of the YSU Constitutional Law Department, a member of Magazine’s Editorial Board, congratulated all the prosecutors, employees of the Prosecutor's Office on the occasion of the professional day and wished that prosecutors would carry out the mission of safeguarding the supremacy of law, the protection of human/citizen rights and freedoms, as well as legal security with maximum dedication and diligence.

 

Anahit Manasyan expressed gratitude to the specialists with publications in world-known magazines for accepting the offer to be included in the Editorial Board of the Magazine and emphasized that the requirements for the articles published therein and its policy had been changed.

 

Artur Ghambaryan, Doctor of Sciences in Law, Professor, Head of the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University Department of Theory of Law and Constitutional Law, a member of the Editorial Board of the Magazine, also congratulated the prosecutors on the occasion of the professional day and in his speech referred to the importance of the Magazine, as well as emphasized the high international standards introduced as a result of the reforms.

 

Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic, expressed gratitude to all the colleagues who contributed to the reform of the Magazine, the international experts for their involvement in the development of the magazine "Legality", and expressed hope that in the coming years, in discussions about publishing their articles in international magazines by local and international lawyers, the name of the Magazine "Legality" of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia would also be mentioned along with the international prestigious magazines.
