Anna Vardapetyan, General Prosecutor of the Republic of Armenia met with the delegation led by Alexis Haftvani, Director of Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Embassy in Armenia.

 

Anna Vardapetyan highly appriciated the Embassy’s contribution to the improvement of the institution of confiscation of property of illicit origin and raising the qualification of Armenian prosecutors as well as emphasized the necessity to build the capacity of prosecutors excercising supervision over the corruption crimes.

 

The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia singled out the fight against cybercrime as one of cooperation directions and highlighted, that the prosecutors must develop their knowledge and skills for effective supervision over the crimes committed with the application of modern technologies.

 

During the meeting the parties discussed a number of isseues of mutual interest in the framework of legal assisstance.
