As a result of the application of the prosecutorial act in the criminal proceedings pending with the Department for Combating Economic Crimes of the Prosecutor General's Office, the damage of AMD 223 million 513 thousand (USD approximately 560 thousand) caused to the state has been restored.

 

In connection with the report received from the State Revenue Committee regarding the non-payment of taxes, duties, or other payments by a company engaged in the production of alcoholic beverages, the Investigative Committee did not initiate criminal proceedings on August 28, 2024. The legality of not initiating the criminal proceedings was not confirmed by the prosecutor, and on August 30, 2024, it was instructed to initiate criminal proceedings for the non-payment of taxes, duties, or other payments in particularly large amounts and to begin the preliminary investigation.

 

As a result of the initiated criminal proceedings, AMD 223 million 513 thousand was restored to the state budget of the Republic of Armenia by the company's director.
