The RA Military Prosecutor met with the Military Prosecutor of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation and the Head of the Investigative Department

The RA Military Prosecutor, the RA Deputy Prosecutor General V. Harutyunyan today received the Military Prosecutor of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation Sergey Kolomiets and the Head of the Military Investigative Department of the Southern Military District of the RF IC, Sergey Arefev (who were on a working visit to the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh).

 

Welcoming the guests, V. Harutyunyan highly appreciated the cooperation formed between the Military Prosecutor's Offices of the RA and the RF. The RA Military Prosecutor added that the deployment of the RF peacekeeping forces in the Republic of Artsakh significantly expands the security guarantees of Artsakh and the Armenians of Artsakh, creates the basis for easing the general tension on the line of contact. V. Harutyunyan noted that the presence of Russian peacekeeping forces in Artsakh is an additional incentive for strengthening cooperation and holding working meetings.

 

During the meeting, were discussed the issues related to the organization of legal service for the military contingent carrying out a peacekeeping mission in Artsakh by the Military Prosecutor's Office and the Investigative Department of the Southern Military District, structures and methods of interaction between the prosecutor's and investigative bodies of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh in the legal field.
