On 19.11.2020, at 16:40, from the car of "Vaz 2121" of a resident of Ashtarak city, Aragatsotn region A. G., officers of Sisian Police Division of the RA found one AK rifle, 16 grenades, bullets of 7.62 mm, 30 and 5.45 mm and 1 knife, which were confiscated during the inspection.

On the fact of the case in Sisian Police Division of the Republic of Armenia on 19.11.2020 under Part 1 of Article 235 of the RA Criminal Code a criminal case was initiated, which was sent to Sisian Investigative Division for the preliminary investigation, and the mentioned people were detained.

On the same day, charges were brought against these people under Part 2 of Article 235 of the RA Criminal Code. A.M. was charged for the illegal acquisition of weapons, ammunitions from the Republic of Artsakh, as well as transportation from Artsakh to the RA through illegal storage in Vaz-2121. A petition was submitted to the Court of General Jurisdiction of Syunik region with a view to apply detention as a measure of restraint against him.

A. G. was charged for the fact that, by prior agreement with A.M. regarding the illegal acquisition, storage and transportation of weapons, ammunitions and explosives, he transported illegally obtained weapons from Goris to Vagharshapat and during the inspection of the car, the specified weapons were found and seized on the same day.

The preliminary investigation is still in process, the necessary investigative, procedural, as well as operational-search measures are being taken to establish the circumstances of the acquisition of weapons and other circumstances that are significant for the case.
