The RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan met the RF Prosecutor General Yuri Chayka

The RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan who is currently paying a visit to Saint Petersburg met the RF Prosecutor General Yuri Chayka.
The RA Prosecutor General expressed his gratitude for warm hospitality and underlined the necessity to deepen the relations between the Prosecutor's Offices of both countries within the framework of 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the RA and the RF. Artur Davtyan pointed out the significance of cooperation between the two countries, taking into account the fact that transfer volume of people and electronic services is growing within the framework of EACU, and there is more need to deepen these mutual legal relations to combat terrorism, cybercrime and finding wanted persons who avoided criminal trial.
The RF Prosecutor General Yuri Chayka estimated the RA Prosecutor's Office attempts within the CCPG of CIS member states. He mentioned that the legal base that has been established between both countries has created essential conditions for mutual legal cooperation, to defend the rights of citizens of both states and raise the effectiveness of fight against international crime.
Artur Davtyan invited his Russian colleague to Armenia in 2018 with the aim of participation in ceremonial events devoted to the 100th anniversary of establishment of the RA Prosecutor's Office.
At the end of the meeting the Prosecutors General of both states signed the program of cooperation between the prosecutor's offices of both countries for 2018-2020.
