Today, by the initiative of Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, prosecutors and representatives of the Investigative Committee met with Armen Harutyunyan, Judge of the European Court of Human Rights.

 

During the meeting they referred to the delimitation of the institutions of freedom of speech and hate speech in the context of the ECHR case law, standards and philosophy.

 

They discussed ECHR case law approaches to the abovementioned institutions in the format of questions and answers. A reference was also made to the peculiarities of the interpretation of freedom of speech in the context of abuse of rights.

 

At the end of the meeting they agreed to make the meetings in this format continuous.
