Public criminal prosecution was initiated against I.M., the Director of Yerevan Cannery CJSC by the supervising prosecutor.

 

I.M., occupying the position of Yerevan Cannery CJSC’s Director forged a document with negligence releasing him from duties and liabilities.

 

With the said false document, I.M. released himself from the duty of maintaining the sanitary-hygienic, fire-technical and safety rules of the “Surmalu” trade center and from the liability for the consequences in the result of violation. Afterwards I.M. submitted the mentioned false document (order) to the investigator.

 

Besides, I.M. violated a number of clauses prescribed by the RA Law “On Fire Security” and rules of fire security. I.M. also did not ensure the primary means of firefighting, causing grave consequences by negligence (566 million 329 thousand 823.5 AMD property damage).

 

On February 13, 2023, public criminal prosecution was initiated against I.M. under article 457, part 1 and article 357, part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.

 

I.M. was arrested on February 22, 2023.
