The criminal case, initiated on the occasion of transfer of drugs into the penitentiary institution "Vanadzor" was transferred to the proceedings of Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia

The Prosecutor General of Armenia transferred the criminal case on the transfer of drugs to the territory of the penitentiary institution of the RA Ministry of Justice to the proceedings of the investigators of  RA Special Investigative Service.

As early as on August 15, 2017 on the features of p. 2 and 3 part 2, Art. 34-266 of the RA Criminal Code a criminal case was initiated on the fact of transfer of drugs into the administrative territory of “Vanadzor” penitentiary institution with the aim of selling 0.44 grams of "Hashish oil" and 0.032 grams of "Buprenorphine".

During the preliminary investigation, some facts were obtained that the crime was flagrantly  committed by the security officer of the same penitentiary institution.

Taking into consideration the fact that the materials of the criminal case contain the features of flagrant  crime committed by an official and are based on the need for multilateralism, completeness and objectivity of the investigation, the RA Prosecutor General took the abovementioned criminal case from the proceedings of the investigator of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee and handed over to the investigators of the RA Special Investigation Service.
